Uneventful but another win........
With the Dutch Masters being short of players the Classics loaned Doug Smith and George Wadsworth to the opposition. This made it an 11 a side game. The Classics got off to a blistering start when Billy Ranger was fed the ball in the penalty area in the second minute. He turned a defender and blasted a shot which went in off the underside of the crossbar. The Classics were generally on top and didn't really look like slipping up although they allowed the Masters to pinch a goal back after a defensive mix up. The Classics made it 2-1 in the 42nd. minute when Ranger was left with a simple tap in from a left wing corner by Bill McAuley.
The second half was much the same story. Fisher Crockett was injured and had to leave the field so Smith was taken away from the Masters and the game concluded as a 10 a side affair. Alan Burton got his first goal of the season in the 70th. minute and the rest of the game was played out without incident. Final score 3-1.
