SURREY CLASSICS FC - CLUB HISTORY
"Have I ever been tempted to walk away in frustration? No, never. It's a thing I'd never do. I wouldn't turn my back
on the lads" - John Gregory, three days before quitting Aston Villa
Surrey Classics FC originated in the 1964-65 season as Semiahmoo Saints, a name taken from the Semiahmoo Bay at White Rock, British Columbia, Canada. Semiahmoo is also of the name of the local Semiahmoo Indian Band and the original insignia of the club was an Indian with a halo around his feather.

The team was started by the original "Saint", Ed Reid who formed the team. They even had female cheer leaders in Saints outfits in the first year or two of formation. Below is shown the club bumper sticker.
